SHOP KAHNAWAKE FIRST - gift certificates available

‘Shop Kahnawake First’ is an awareness campaign initiated by the Small Business Services division of Tewatohnhi'saktha, Kahnawake’s Economic Development Commission. It was created to encourage consumers to look for products and services in Kahnawake before looking elsewhere and to encourage positive growth within our local economy.

Spending your money in Kahnawake really does make a big difference. To support this effort, Tewatohnhi'saktha has created gift certificates that can be redeemed at all Kahnawake businesses who are participating in the ‘Shop Kahnawake First’ initiative. They make great gifts and ensure that the money will be spent locally.

“Shop Kahnawake First” gift certificates are available in denominations of $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00 and $100.00. and are available at Tewatohnhi'saktha on the 3rd floor of the Kahnawake Business Complex.

Following is the procedure to redeem the "Shop Kahnawake First" gift certificates:

1. Put your business stamp or company name on the front of the certificates
2. Bring your certificates to Tewatohni'saktha and give them to our receptionist
3. Our receptionist will give you a receipt for the total value of the certificates
4. A cheque to reimburse you for the total value of the certificates will be issued to and mailed to you on Thursday.
5. Certificates must be presented for redemption before noon on Tuesday in order to receive a cheque on Thursday of the same week. Otherwise, you will receive your reimbursment the following week
6. Our business hours are 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday to Friday, for your convenience
7. We offer "Shop Kahnawake First" gift certificate denominations of $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00 and $100.00
